Effective October 1, 2006, participants are able to pay Health Fund contributions and selfpay premiums online. To use our online payment system, you must pay the full amount online; the system does not accept partial payments. But it’s easy, it’s secure, and all you need is a MasterCard or Visa. (Sorry, debit cards and other credit cards cannot be accepted at this time, although if your debit card doubles as a MasterCard or Visa you may use it in its credit-card role.) To get started, go to the “Health Care Payments” link located on the site's home page. As a first time user, you must register in order to begin this process. Here will you need to provide required information in order to set up your record. Once you have finalized the registration requirements, you will be a registered user that will allow you to make payments towards your health coverage. In order to make future payments, all you would have to do is sign in, and provide your e-mail address, and password that you had selected during the registration process. Therefore, you can use a MasterCard or Visa to pay for any of the following types of health coverage:
To finalize any online payment transaction, you must include your Actor’s Equity member number (AEA ID number) and your bill number. Make sure you have these numbers handy when you log on. You can continue to make payments by check. Online payment is an option, not a requirement. And for those of you who stop by the New York office to pay in person, you can pay via check or credit card. Whichever way you choose to pay, it must be on time, which means your payment must be either received by the Fund Office or submitted online by the required due date. Payment due dates will be 30 days prior to the start of a coverage period - January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1.. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Health Department within the Fund Office, and a customer service representative will be happy to assist you.
